Shirley Tinnin began rescuing animals in December of 2003 and has assembled a small group of volunteers to help make BCHS work. A network of foster families to house and care for BCHS pets. Our goal is to one day have a shelter, but until then, we will keep rescuing as many animals as possible. Unlike other organizations, we do not receive any government funding. This organization survives on donations, foster homes and volunteers and we welcome contributions!

We are at Petsmart in Pearland, Texas on FM 518@ Hwy 288 every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. We invite you to please come by and visit the wonderful animals and see if that special pet is there awaiting you and your family.

Every shelter dog and cat has a story to tell. Most animals in shelters are there simply because of a little bad luck--usually the result of “people problems” like divorce, foreclosure, and lifestyle changes. As you read this, thousands of dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities are waiting for new homes, eager to start a new chapter in their lives.

Thanks to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals we were able to obtain assistance with shelter maintenance and petfinder.com has made it possible to pour concrete runs for our larger animals.

We have rescued many animals and are very proud about placing them into wonderful loving homes.
